Each day we scour Birdlife South Africa’s social media community, and submissions from photographers, to find the Photo of the Day. Sometimes we don’t find a winner, but thanks to the talent of the birding community we usually do!

Got a snap that’s so good it might ruffle some feathers? 

We are on the lookout for photos that celebrate the beauty of birds and the art of photography. To enter:

  • Email one image – a jpg no larger than 1mb to: editor@birdlife.org.za
  • Subject line must read: photo of the day

Please note: This competition is not our parent organisation BirdLife South Africa’s photo competition. We aim to build this into an annual competition exclusive to African Birdlife online. More than bragging rights, it could lead to great prizes! We’ll keep you updated on our website.
